Last week, our lab was representated in Hong Kong at the exciting 2026 Nature Conference on Translational Biomaterials:

It was an impressive four days showcasing cutting-edge scientific advances in biomaterials for controlled drug release, immunotherapy, wound healing, human–machine interfaces, regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and bioprinting.

Many thanks to Chuanbin Mao, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the editors from Nature, Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nature Nanotechnology, and Nature Materials for organizing this inspiring event, and for the invitation to share our work from the Regenerative Medicine Utrecht. This included our recently published work on context-aware volumetric printing (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-025-09436-7), as well as unpublished results on pancreas tissue modelling and cell engineering. #bioprinting #biofabrication #synbio

The conference featured a fantastic line-up of speakers, including Chunying Chen, Karen Christman, Dennis Discher, Jose Antonio Garrido, Gabe Kwong, Twan Lammers, Kam Leong, Shulamit Levenberg, Roy van der Meel, Suzie Pun, Kanyi Pu, Francesca Santoro, Huilin Shao, Molly Shoichet, Ben Zhong Tang, Li Tang, Sihong Wang, Xuanhe Zhao, Yuliang Zhao, Joy Wolfram, PhD, and many more!

A special shout-out to the entire organizing team and volunteers fromCUHK. The meeting was run impeccably, with incredible hospitality, beautifully blending science and culture. Thank you all for making these days so exciting and for the stimulating scientific discussions!
