Last month, a new bioprinter, the NGB-R from Poiteis was installed in our Biofabrication facilities in Utrecht! The printer combines an extrusion system with laser-induced forward transfer (LIFT), to position cells with high precision onto 3D bioprinted structures. Nuria has been already taking good care of it, performing experiment for the project on microphysiological articular joint models, within the Smart Organ-on-a-Chip consortium, funded by NWO (Dutch Research Council) and supported by hDMT (https://www.hdmt.technology/ )! Looking forward to more applications of Light-based printing technologies!
