Between May and July, our lab participated at multiple events around the globe! It has been a great opportunity to share our research with the biomaterials and regenerative medicine communities, and to discuss exciting new collaboration opportunities!
We started in May with the 2024 EMBO "Building Networks" workshop on engineering in vascular biology held in Barcelona, Spain, followed by the World Biomaterials Congress in Daegu, Korea, where Marc and Paulina presented the most recent advances in their work on volumetric bioprinting, while joining about 4000 attendees!
After that, it was time for the world conference of the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, held in Seattle, USA, where Davide and Oksana shared their work on synthetic biology-inspired strategies to enhance bioprinting and on controllable microporous hydrogel bioresins!
Next up, Pere travelled to Hamburg, Germany, to present our work on bioprinted stem cell islets to reconstruct functional pancreatic tissues at the world congress of the International Society for Stem Cell Research.
Congrats to all team members for your presentations, and thanks to all the conference organizers for making these exciting scientific events possible!
